Volk's range of iridotomy lenses provides highly detailed views of the iris to recognize the best location for treatment, such as the iris crypts, while the optics ensure efficient transfer of laser energy for effective treatment of angle-closure glaucoma. This lens offers a high-magnification view of the iris through the dedicated surface in the lens. The rest of the lens surface offers a clear, flat view of the surrounding iris, enabling the desired treatment site to be identified and oriented. The laser beam must be directed towards the center of the circular knob for efficient laser transmission.
