High-Resolution OCT
The Xephilio OCT-A1 delivers exceptional image quality. The 3-micron optical resolution (1.6 μm digitally) enables excellent differentiation of individual retinal structures and layers.
A Complete Examination in Just 3 Clicks
Examinations with the Xephilio OCT-A1 are extremely simple and therefore easy to delegate. It takes just 3 mouse clicks to obtain scans. A comprehensive range of intelligent features enables fully automated examinations. In addition, the automatic rescan function kicks in if the patient makes unwanted eye movements and automatically compensates for motion artifacts.
Automated Anterior Segment Tracking
After clicking the mouse roughly at the center of the pupil, the OCT-A1’s automated anterior tracking takes over and automatically detects and maintains the exact center, even when the patient moves their eyes or blinks.
Automatic Image Optimization
A second mouse click starts the scan, and the device automatically optimizes the focus and coherence window to achieve the best possible signal quality and examination results. After confirming the preview scan images, a third click will start the actual acquisition, which takes only a few seconds.
Real-Time Retinal Tracking
The OCT-A1 is equipped with a laser scanning ophthalmoscope. This SLO system enables real-time retinal tracking. By detecting and compensating for movements, the impact of small involuntary movements that could cause motion artifacts is significantly reduced, and image quality is greatly improved.
High Image Resolution
With the Xephilio OCT-A1, up to 200 scans can be averaged to achieve an image resolution that allows for detailed visualization of the layer structure as well as the pleated structure of the vitreous. The device combines high image resolution with a particularly wide scan width of up to 13 mm!
Enhanced Depth Visualization
For optimal imaging, the system offers special scan modes for imaging the vitreous and the choroid.
Reliable 10-Layer Recognition
The Canon Xephilio OCT-A1 can automatically detect and distinguish 10 layers of the retina, including Bruch’s membrane (BM).
Anterior Segment Imaging
With the optional ASA-1 anterior segment adapter, the Xephilio OCT-A1’s 3-micron resolution also allows you to image the anterior segment of the eye with high resolution. The width of anterior scans can be 6 or 9 mm.
